Overview
OptionsVault ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at theoptionsvault.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
We take privacy seriously. We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising networks. The only data we collect is what is necessary to operate the service.
Information we collect
If you use the site without an account: We collect no personally identifiable information. The core calculators, charts, and tools are fully accessible without signing in.
If you join the waitlist: We collect your first name, last name, email address, and an optional message about what features interest you. This information is used only to notify you when Premium launches.
If you create an account: We collect your email address and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your plain-text password). If you upgrade to Premium, we store your subscription plan level. You may optionally save options calculations to your account, which we store on your behalf.
Usage data: We collect anonymous usage signals (page visits, tool interactions) to understand which features are being used. This data is aggregated and not linked to individuals.
How we use your information
- To operate and improve the OptionsVault service
- To send you a launch notification if you joined the waitlist (one email — no marketing drip)
- To manage your account and subscription if you register
- To restore your saved calculations when you log in
- To understand aggregate usage patterns for product development
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage (not tracking cookies) to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode) and your session token if you are logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies are set by OptionsVault.
Third-party services loaded on the page (such as Google Fonts) may set their own cookies subject to their own policies.
Data retention
Waitlist entries are retained until Premium launches and notifications are sent, after which you may request deletion at any time. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below.
Server logs generated by Vercel are retained per Vercel's standard retention policy (typically 30 days).
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). Users in the European Economic Area have rights under GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
OptionsVault is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
