Built for traders who want to understand their positions
OptionsVault is a free web-based options trading toolkit. We give retail traders the same analytical tools that professional desks use — options pricing, Greeks, strategy modeling, and market research — without a subscription, a login wall, or a brokerage account requirement.
Our mission
Most free options tools show you a number and stop there. We thought traders deserved more: a full picture of their position's risk, the Greeks that drive it, an interactive P&L chart showing how the trade performs across a range of outcomes, and the market context to put it all in perspective.
OptionsVault is designed to be the first place a retail trader opens before placing an options trade — to check their numbers, understand their greeks, and make a more informed decision.
What's included
Every tool on OptionsVault is free to use. No account required for the core calculators.
Who we serve
OptionsVault is built for self-directed retail traders in the US and Canada who are actively researching and placing options trades. Our users range from beginners learning how options work to active traders who run multi-leg strategies and need fast, reliable pricing tools.
We support both US-listed stocks and Canadian stocks on the TSX — one of the few free options tools that does so.
Data and technology
Options chain data is sourced from MarketData.app. Stock quotes, financials, and company data are sourced from Finnhub and Yahoo Finance. AI-powered analysis features use Anthropic's Claude. Account management and data storage are handled by Supabase.
The site is a static web application with no build step, hosted on Vercel's global edge network. Options data is cached and refreshed continuously throughout market hours by a background service running on a dedicated server.
